第１回沖縄空手国際大会開催！

空手発祥の地「OKINAWA」で、空手の神髄を知る。
世界50カ国の空手家が沖縄に集結！

先人たちより受け継がれてきた沖縄の伝統的な型の保存・継承および技術の向上を目的に、空手・古武道の「型」を競う「第１回沖縄空手国際大会」（主催：第１回沖縄空手国際大会実行委員会、沖縄県、沖縄伝統空手道振興会）が8月１日、沖縄県立武道館と沖縄空手会館会場にて開幕。
本大会には世界５０カ国・地域から空手家が集結、約1200人が、「首里泊手系・那覇手系・上地流系・古武道（棒・サイ）」それぞれの部門に分かれて、予選・本選を競い合う。また、8月6日、7日に開催される沖縄空手セミナーには各流派から厳選された講師陣が登場、延べ2300人が参加予定。先人たちが体系化し今日まで受け継がれてきた沖縄空手の技や精神の神髄に触れるとともに友好を深め、「平和の武」を世界に発信する。
今年の夏は、"沖縄空手"から目が離せない!!
