【訃報】上原恒師範（剛柔流空手直心館）御逝去

　数多の逸話を持つ沖縄空手界きっての実戦の雄にして、かつては全沖縄空手道連盟の理事も務めた重鎮、上原恒師範が今年9月26日にお亡くなりになりました。享年90歳。

　上原師範は1929年に沖縄で生を受け、戦時中は疎開先の宮崎の軍需工場で、戦後は沖縄の米軍基地に作業員として動員され、現地の工員・ならず者・米兵を相手に喧嘩三昧の日々を送るが、刑務所行き寸前となった事を切っ掛けに、精神修養のため空手の道に入る。知花朝信（小林流開祖）を経て、宮里栄一師範（剛柔流）に師事し、"稽古の鬼"と畏れられるほどの修練を積む。1974年に剛柔流空手直心館を設立し、その5年後には全沖縄空手道連盟の理事に就任。しかし、宮平保師範（天行健中国武術館）との出会いから中国武術との技術交流による沖縄空手の真の復興を志し、孤高の道を行く。そして、その実戦空手は高弟の宮里信光師範に受け継がれた。

　本誌においては2015年12月号の特集にて、現地沖縄から宮平師範と共に、中国武術の"弾抖勁"によって補完された沖縄空手の身体術理をご示演頂きました。謹んで御冥福をお祈り申し上げます。
